America's Children : Contains the report "America's Children : Key National Indicators of well-being," published in July 1999.

Character Counts!: Character Counts! is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian coalition of schools, communities, and non-profit organizations working to advance character education by teaching the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

Children's Defense Fund : This non-profit produces a "State of America's Children Workbook" with state profiles and comparisons of national averages.

Faith In Action : A website supporting faith-based mentoring.  Faith-based organizations can join and receive information and resources vital to their programs. 

Mentoring Canada: Lays the foundations for a successful mentoring program and provides valuable resources for your program.

Mentoring Program Development Guidebook : Available for FREE online!  The guidebook is designed for Mentor Program Coordinators, agency or organizational staff, and other stakeholders.  Explore the step-by-step process of envisioning and implementing components that the research shows are needed for solid youth mentoring efforts.

MTV's Anti-Violence Website : The MTV channel has its own website about non-violence and teen STD prevention.  A "hip" site for youth.

National Clearing House for Drug and Alcohol Information : The name says it all.  

National Mentoring Center: Website offers technical assistance, information on regional conferences and specialized training events, and their lending library.

National Mentoring Partnership: Learn about all things mentoring and the National Partnership.  Website includes valuable information and resources you can use for your own mentoring program.  Also includes important information on topics such as e-mentoring and the Kaplan Newsweek Mentoring Magazine.

National Youth Development Information Center : Contains information on federal and foundation grants programs, policy alerts on legislation related to kids, a collection of youth-related statistics, and a searchable database that helps users locate news articles and other documents on youth development.

Points of Light Foundation : America's address for volunteering.  Website provides info on volunteering, research and evaluation, and programs (including mentoring programs).

Prevent Child Abuse Website : This website includes information and resources on the prevention of child abuse.

Public/Private Ventures : Includes several reports on school based mentoring.

Tennessee Commission on National and Community Service : A state service agency with many resources for volunteers and volunteer coordinators.

Trends in the Well Being of America's Children and Youth : This is a page on the US Dept. of Health and Human services page that contains the report, "Trends in the Well Being of America's Children and Youth 1998."
