The Memphis Mentoring Partnership (MMP) is a coalition of community, faith-based, non-profit, and educational organizations offering youth mentoring programs. MMP was formed through a joint effort of the Memphis Shelby Crime Commission and the Memphis Regional Chamber, and  Volunteer Memphis was designated as the coordinating agency.  

Our goals:

•  increase the number of mentored youth

•  build the capacity of program providers 

•  raise standards of service

The Memphis Mentoring Partnership will accomplish these goals by:

1. providing professional development to existing or emerging mentoring programs so they can meet recommended standards of effective mentoring,

2. coordinating recruitment, training, and screening of volunteer mentors, and

3. developing and implementing an outreach campaign promoting youth mentoring throughout Memphis and Shelby County.
